Gratitude Challenge- Day #23

“Take time to journal about something new that you are grateful for.”

Something new that I am very grateful for is my attitude renewal, thanks to The Gratitude Challenge.  My overall attitude and outlook for everything around me has completely changed.  I’m very appreciative of these exercises for that.

So far, I feel like I’ve been getting more enjoyment out of every day life.  There’s definitely been a lot more laughter and reminiscing about good things.  I feel like I have a fresh outlook about everything around me, including the things that might have seemed mundane previously.

Gratitude reduces negativity, which is definitely a positive!  It’s hard to complain and focus on negative when I am busy thinking about all the things that I am grateful for.  As the old children’s church song goes, “Count your blessings, name them one by one”.

Also, by looking at any potential problem or difficulty through gratitude-colored-glasses, each of these times in my life can now be a learning experience.  We can use the difficult things to help us become better people and even open our minds to new things and possibilities.  This positive perspective can improve any negative that we are faced with, so it’s important to be grateful even for the trials in our life.

Because of all of the above, I am thankful for this challenge and the new attitude and perspective that it has given me.  I feel renewed!  I’m grateful to have the old me back!
