Guest Blog: TO A NEW ME!!! Week #0
W.O.W!!! I am officially 1 week in on my Body By Vi 90-Day Challenge and can I just say….DANG!!!! Ok, so first my results: 8 lbs lost, 2 inches off my waist, and 2 inches of my legs. Chest, arm, hips stayed the same. SERIOUSLY?!? 8 lbs?!?!? Don’t you know that I stood on the scale this morning – saw the number – didn’t think too much, got in the shower and PROCESSED that number – couldn’t believe it, got out of the shower and back on the scale to make sure that I wasn’t still SLEEPING! HAHA! Yes, I totally did that! O.M.G!!
SO—in 1 week, I have never felt MORE AMAZING in my entire life than I do being on this challenge. I am not tired anymore, I do not have that sluggish feeling, I want to get dressed in the morning to get a “clothes fitting status check,” I want to SCREAM at the top of my lungs about how freaking AWESOME and GOOD, and ENERGETIC, and HAPPY that I am.
I have also overcame some big challenges that I had at the beginning of my journey which I wrote about in the last blog. I have to do these in order of my week, as to make sure that I tell you all about them. If I don’t do them in the order that they happened, chances are I am bound to miss something.
So, I started my challenge last Thursday April 12, 2012— I brought my magic bullet to work—blended my shake in the lunch room.. got a few looks but nothing too bad. Thought to myself, OMG, I was freaking about NOTHING. People don’t care that they have to hear a blender for 15 seconds or whatever it takes me to do this… Now—people are asking me questions about it and I LOVE it.. so blender at work = success! Figures that I would start a weight loss challenge on a Thursday and have dinner plans with friends on a Friday—FOR PIZZA!~ OMG, I was scared. I didn’t want to go. I didn’t want to screw this program up on day freaking 2!!!! (ok – insert something here— I have also been using the my fitness pal app on my phone that tells me how many calories I should take in per day—which I hate counting anything.. but wanted to do it at first just to make sure that I was eating/consuming ENOUGH)…. Ok back on track now.. so anyway… pizza. So.. I had kept track of all my calories that I had eaten throughout the day – and chose some low calorie snacks. We went to pizza, I had 2 pieces of amazing-ness and a salad and was only over by 8 calories for the day! So—continuing to live life with family obligations and commitments = success!!! Next challenge was the weekend in general. Freaking FLEW by, did GREAT on my program. Only thing that I need to work on is drinking more water. During the week, I have no problem with it b/c I have this gigundor cup at my desk and just fill it up with ice and water when it runs out. It’s obviously like.. in my face (because you know my desk is like 5 inches by 6 inches)…so I see it.. I drink it… no biggie! But, I made it through the weekend with flying colors = success!!! So, seriously what I am saying here is that I overcame 3 HUGE hurdles in 1 week. HELLO PEOPLE?!?!?!? That’s like—-W.O.W!!!!
I am so proud of myself. Seriously. Like.. WHO DOES THIS?!?!?
In the 7 days that I have been on this program, I have also had two of my neighbors join me and take their OWN challenge!~ It’s so fun and exciting to have people doing this with you – encouraging you – mentoring you – coaching you – helping you! I am EVEN MORE EXCITED to watch them transform themselves and hear about how wonderful they feel!!!!
Seriously – is like I have a NEW LIFE. Ok, not like REALLY, but I mean… I don’t feel like the person that I was on April 11, 2012. I honestly cannot put into words how extremely, without a doubt GOOD I feel!!!! OH— just have to say this.. so, I have these black pants that I wear to work on a weekly basis. I LOVE them, they are so comfortable, just LOVE them. Do you know that I wore them 1 day this week to work and could not wear them again without washing them?!?! OK – so YES, I wear my pants more than 1 time before I wash them… I mean, who doesn’t? Especially jeans.. worn in jeans are the BEST, but anyway… yea, by Monday night..those suckers were falling off of me and too bagged out!
Another random note – my daughter Sydney – LOVES the shakes!! She is my “taster” in the morning.. basically she tries them and tells me if she likes them or not… Over the weekend, I had to make her, her very own.. because she LOVES them so much! It’s so fun listening to her ask me.. “So, what shake are we going to make today Mommy? Can I try it??” She’s really in love with Blueberry Blast and Orange Dreamsicle!!!
So, you know this morning I put my results on Facebook—because I just couldn’t believe it… I was soooo excited! People all over facebook are LOVING it! AND… I am too!!!! I 1,000% encourage anyone who wants to take their own 90-day challenge or try these shakes to contact me! You know, I found out about this program in December – and him-hawed around and didn’t do it. Now, 4 months later, I am SOOOO PISSED that I waited so long to do it, but SOOOOO HAPPY that I finally made the decision to change myself. This is T.H.E B.E.S.T thing I have ever done!
Ok WOW! This was definetly a HOORAY for Lindsey blog—but deserved I think!!!!
I am so flattered that so many people are being on this journey with me by reading and sharing my blog!!! I encourage it and am open to any questions!!!!
So – the title of my blog this week is Brown Chicken Brown Cow— which I learned from my daughter in adult language is BOW-CHICKA-WOW-WOW!!!! Exactly how I feel. BOOM!
